Submit a Pitch

Submissions are reviewed and published on a rolling basis. Whether you are a university student, professor, or community stakeholder, we would love to feature your voice in our publication.

In response to the latest attacks on student political speech, we are now accepting anonymous submissions. If you would like to write for us anonymously, please print “Anonymous” and “Submission” or a pseudonym of your choosing in the “Name” field below.

As an additional precaution, we recommend using a personal or burner email when reaching out to us, though all communication with our team will occur outside of Columbia University email servers. If preferred, we have an operational Signal account that can be used at the contributor’s request. Our editorial team takes the safety of our peers very seriously, and to the extent that you share your identity with any of our staff, it will not be shared with anyone.

Regardless of these precautionary measures, we urge each and every member of the Columbia community to continue speaking up on the issues that matter to them. For more information or to share your concerns, please contact us at cupoliticalreview@gmail.com

CPR considers submissions from:

  • Columbia University affiliates

  • Affiliates of other universities

  • Community group members and representatives, especially from Harlem, New York City, and New York State

If you are a high school student seeking publication, we encourage you to submit to our annual high school essay contest.

If pre-written, submissions must fall under 2,000 words and will undergo substantial revision to ensure conformity with the Review’s editorial guidelines.
