CPR does accept pitches for magazine articles and/or web features on a rolling basis. Any student at the University is welcome to submit his/her proposal for an article, and we encourage everyone, no matter their backgrounds in writing or politics, to submit a pitch if they feel passionately about a topic. You may submit multiple pitches. We look forward to seeing your ideas!
Please e-mail all materials to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your pitch should include the following information:
1. Name, School, Year, Phone Number
2. In one or two sentences, state your argument. What is the thrust of your proposed article or web feature? For magazine article proposals, take one brief paragraph to expand upon your argument, sharing with us how you will support it.
3. What makes your topic engaging? What new perspective or information are you bringing to CPR’s readers?
4. (For magazine articles only.) If you already have sources in mind (items you have consulted or intend to consult), please list them. Note that a full source list is NOT required, but may help make your pitch more convincing and/or compelling.
